New Feature: Compound Your ETH Staking Rewards with Auto-Restaking!

We are excited to introduce a new feature that will significantly enhance your ETH staking experience on the BF platform.

Introducing Auto-Restaking for Your ETH Staking Rewards:
We understand the importance of maximising your weekly ETH income while keeping things convenient. With that in mind, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Auto-Restaking feature for ETH staking rewards. This feature empowers you to automatically reinvest your weekly ETH staking rewards, ensuring that your rewards are continuously compounded.

How Auto-Restaking Works:
By enabling Auto-Restaking, your weekly ETH staking rewards will be automatically reinvested into your staking account. This means that you won’t have to log in every week to manually restake your rewards. The power of compounded yield will take effect, allowing your staked ETH to generate even greater ETH returns over time.

The Power of Compounded Yield with ETH Staking:
Compounded yield has a remarkable ability to amplify your ETH over the long term. As you reinvest your rewards, you’re essentially earning ETH rewards on your ETH rewards. This compounding effect can lead to growth in your ETH holdings in the long term, offering you the potential to achieve your ETH goals faster.

How to Enable Auto-Restaking:
Enabling Auto-Restaking is quick and easy. Simply log in to your BF account, navigate to the funds section in your BF account, click on the ‘Staking ETH’ tab, and toggle the Auto-Restaking button so it’s green.

Once activated, you’ll get a pop up with more details and once confirmed you’ll be on your way to harnessing the power of compounded ETH staking rewards without the need for manual intervention. A complete step-by-step guide is provided below.

We’re committed to providing you with innovative features that enhance your investment journey. Auto-Restaking is just one example of our dedication to helping you make the most of your investments.

Here’s to a future of compounded ETH yield!

Warm regards,

BF Investor Relations

Login to your account and proceed to the funds section.

Step 2: Enable Auto Re-Staking

Within the ‘Staked ETH’ tab, you’ll find your ‘Staked ETH’ dashboard. The ‘Total Staking Rewards’ section holds a toggle at the bottom. If you haven’t already, activate ‘Auto Re-Staking’ here. By enabling this feature, the ETH rewards you receive every Monday will be automatically reinvested, giving you compounded ETH yield. This process requires no manual intervention. You can always adjust this setting later through the Staking Dashboard.

Step 3: View Further Details

For more information, click the question mark icon.

Step 4: Toggle Activation

Slide the toggle to the right, changing its colour from grey to green. A popup window will provide additional information. Remember, you can easily disable this feature at any time in the future.

Requests awaiting the 32 ETH threshold when combined with other BF customers in a pool will be marked as ‘In BF Queue.’ Once the threshold is reached and the assets are pooled with fellow BF investors, the status will switch to ‘Validator In The Queue,’ indicating presence in the Ethereum Blockchain queue. Active requests that are generating rewards will be labelled accordingly. With Auto Re-Staking enabled, there’s no need for manual requests. Your rewards will be automatically reinvested each Monday. Simply await your turn in both queues every week, and enjoy the rewards.

ETH STAKING RISK WARNINGS
Risk Warning: Staking ETH involves certain risks that you should be aware of before making any investment decisions. Please consider the following risk warning carefully:

  1. Volatility of Cryptocurrencies: Cryptocurrencies, including ETH, are known for their price volatility. The value of your staked ETH may fluctuate significantly, and you may experience gains or losses based on market conditions
  2. Technical and Operational Risks: Staking ETH requires technical expertise and understanding of the underlying blockchain technology. There is a risk of technical failures, network disruptions, hacking attempts, or other operational issues that could impact the security and performance of the staking process.
  3. Regulatory and Legal Risks: The regulatory landscape surrounding cryptocurrencies and staking activities is evolving and subject to change. There may be uncertainties and potential legal or regulatory risks associated with staking ETH, including tax obligations, compliance requirements, and restrictions imposed by regulatory authorities.
  4. Slashing and Penalties: Validators in ETH staking are subject to penalties, known as slashing, for improper behavior or failure to meet their obligations. These penalties can result in a loss of a portion of the staked ETH.
  5. Market and Liquidity Risks: The liquidity of staked ETH may vary, and it may not be easily convertible or accessible when desired. In certain market conditions or during network upgrades, there may be limitations or delays in accessing your staked assets.
  6. Technology and Security Risks: Staking ETH involves interacting with smart contracts, decentralized networks, and third-party platforms. There is a risk of potential vulnerabilities, bugs, or security breaches that could result in the loss or theft of your staked assets.
  7. Past Performance is Not Indicative of Future Results: The historical performance of staking activities or returns earned by other investors is not a guarantee of future performance. Staking outcomes are subject to various factors, including market conditions and network dynamics.

It is important to note that the above risk warning is not exhaustive and does not cover all potential risks associated with staking ETH. We strongly recommend conducting thorough research, understanding the risks involved, and consulting with a qualified professional before engaging in ETH staking or any other investment activity.

Please carefully consider these risks and assess your risk tolerance and investment objectives before proceeding with ETH staking.

You can read all risk warnings here.

How to Certify with Verifyinvestor.com?

Due to regulatory restrictions Bnk To The Future can only accept High Net Worth accredited investors. Under US law, accredited investors can be composed of High Net Worth, High Income or Sophisticated categories. The latter two are, however, not acceptable under Cayman Islands requirements.

Currently we have had to reject accredited investor letters from verifyinvestor.com that state only that you are an accredited investor and do not specify that you are a High Net Worth (HNW) individual.

Below is a step by step instruction on how to generate acceptable investor letters using the verifyinvestor.com platform that will allow you to be certified using this service. We will require screenshots to accompany the letter demonstrating that you have logged in and showing that you have chosen the HNW option.

Step 1 – Select the option of individual net worth, or joint net worth exceeding $1,000,000.

Step 2 – When you have finished completing your details, please take screenshots of the following page
(Please ensure that your name is displayed in the top right corner in your screenshot demonstrating that you are logged in with your own account.)
Note: Please make sure to show your net worth calculation here (1) and please take a desktop screenshot so we can see the date and time (2)

Step 3 – When your request has been reviewed by VerifyInvestor, you should get a letter on your dashboard

Step 4 – Now you are ready to complete your BnkToTheFuture HNW Certification.
Please upload the accreditation letter as well as the  screenshots of the process mentioned in Step 2. Our compliance team will then be able to review and approve your session as soon as possible

How do I verify my documents with BF Identity ?

We have included a process below to outline how to be accepted for your KYC (Know Your Customer)
If you login to your BF profile you should be redirected to the BF Identity page. See the screenshot below:

BF Identity is our latest feature that we have integrated to the BF platform for a much better and much more convenient KYC solution. The main goal we aim to achieve via BF ID will be having your KYC in one place – and use it on BnkToTheFuture.com and any supported BF partners in the future.

STEPS TO EXPECT:

  1. When you start the process with BF Identity you will see Veriff which will take you through the photo steps for your proof of ID.
  2. You will be presented with the options of what photo IDs to provide – what’s applicable to your country jurisdiction
  3. Photo ID is not an upload process – it is a webcam selfie request with Veriff – again once you start the process with BF Identity you will be taken through the steps, you can do this via your computer/desktop webcam/laptop or your smartphone
  4. make sure you have good natural light where you are positioned – Veriff software can be a little sensitive
All photo ID’s should be taken as an image of the Front and Bank separately.
NOTE: We recommend using a passport when possible

You should be prompted to also take a photo of yourself holding your photo ID next to your face. Please ensure both the Photo ID and your face are clearly visible.
  1. Once the Veriff step is completed and approved, you will then be asked for a proof of address document (list is provided below)

Please ensure your image is complete and captures the following information
Your Name
Your Address
The date of the document (within the last 90 days)
The name and details of the Company or Agency that sent the letter
Any other useful information to allow us to verify the document
Please feel free to redact/ black-out any personal details that are not listed above but note that if too much information is omitted, we may not be able to verify the document.

Option 1: Selfie with Proof of Address + Proof of Address as a document
a) You will be prompted to upload or take a photo of your Proof of Address. Below is an example of what the Proof of Address image should include.

b) Please  also provide a photo of yourself holding the same proof of address uploaded. Please treat this as a separate process and do not provide a picture of yourself holding your proof of address AND your Proof of ID. These should be separate images.

Option 2: Screenshot while logged in your account + (optional: Proof of Address as a document)

If all the above details cannot be captured in one screenshot or the URL is not displayed such as in an app, then you will need to provide multiple screenshots or capture multiple web pages showing the information above displayed in the relevant pages and to show that the images are linked

Please ensure you capture date and time on computer in your screenshot if not displayed on account to show the documents are linked

OR if you are unable to show all the required information in one or more screenshots then please additionally download and submit the same document or statement as a PDF displaying all required information as described in option 1.

BnkToTheFuture Identity (BFID) Version 2: What’s Changed?

As mentioned in previous posts, we had to release a very large update to our platform now that we offer investments in crypto, equity and retirement plans. As much as we hate asking for it, our regulatory obligation requires us to ask investors for additional information to meet new/updated regulatory and compliance requirements.

You can find more information about why here: https://54.154.242.84/blog/good-news-not-so-good-news-great-news-from-our-ceo-co-founder-simon-dixon/

As an investor, if you want to continue to use our platform, you will need to re-verify your account. If you were already verified on our platform you will not have to upload any new Proof of Address or Proof of Identity documents, however, you will have to provide the following new information:

  • • Your secondary and tertiary nationalities (if applicable)
  • • Your place of birth
  • • Employment status, business name (if applicable), business sector (if applicable) and occupation
  • • Whether you want to trade, deposit or invest in crypto on our platform
  • • Expected value and expected frequency of crypto investments per year (if you intend to trade, deposit or invest in crypto on our platform)
  • • Whether you want to trade, deposit or invest in shares on our platform
  • • Expected value and expected frequency of investments in shares per year (if you intend to trade, deposit or invest in crypto on our platform)
  • •Net worth, source of funds and annual income

Again, we would like to reiterate that we don’t like collecting this information as much as you don’t like providing it, but we need to stay one step ahead of regulations at all times. We value your privacy as an investor and want to make sure that we can continue serving you, changing the future of finance one investment at a time.

Here are some frequently asked questions to help.

FAQ:

Why can’t I change my address?
We have streamlined the reverification process for existing users who had verified accounts. If you happen to have moved to a new address, please first reverify by updating your details. Once this is complete you will be able to start a new verification session and update your address. Initially your address will be greyed out and uneditable while we collect the new required information, but the second time around you can edit your address and provide a new proof of address to update it.

Why do you need to know my place of birth and what are you doing with this info?
This is a requirement from our regulator to have the information, but it won’t affect your account in any way. We also always process your data in line with our Privacy Policy.

The identity app is asking me to prove my identity through Veriff. Do I have to provide it again if I provided it before?
We use Veriff to help with verifying your identity. If you are a previously verified user who has already proven their identity through Veriff, then this stage will automatically be skipped for you unless your Proof of Identity document (e.g. passport) has expired since we last verified it. You can click next and won’t need to upload your documents again until they expire.

If possible, we strongly recommend using your passport as your Proof of Identity document through Veriff to prevent longer delays.

None of the sources of funds/wealth/income are relevant to me.
Please use the option “Other” so you can better describe your source of funds/wealth.

What is the difference between source of funds and source of wealth?
Source of wealth refers to the origin of your entire wealth including the volume of wealth you would be expected to have accumulated and how you acquired that wealth.

Source of funds refers to the origin of the particular funds involved in the transactions between you and BnkToTheFuture.

What happens if I select ‘no’ for whether I want to invest, trade or deposit shares/crypto on the platform?
If you answer no, we will automatically restrict these specific features for your account respectively:

  • Trade Crypto Assets – This means trading in your BF funds section between BTC, ETH and USD*
  • Invest in Equity – This means investing in pitches on our primary market or trading on our secondary market (buy and sell)

How long does it take to get verified?
We will try our best to make it as quick as possible for all our existing customers. We aim to have reverifications checked within 48 hours, however due to the high level of demand that our updated identity process will put on our compliance department, this may not be possible in all cases.

As there is no change of proof of ID nor proof of Address, the reverification process is significantly more streamlined than the regular verification process, though this process still requires a human to check all sessions.

We apologise for any delays which occur at this time and will do our utmost to resolve all verification sessions as quickly as possible.

What will I be able to do, depending on what type of investor I am?
Below are our updated rules for verification and certification, in line with the latest requirements from our regulator.

To make it clearer, we are introducing 4 tiers:

  • Tier 1 – Verified
  • Tier 2 – Verified and Self-Certified
  • Tier 3 – Verified and Fully-Certified Private Client (meaning that your net worth is less than $1M)
  • Tier 4 – Verified and Fully-certified High Net Worth (meaning that your net worth is $1M or more and that you have provided proof of asset)

The type of Full Certification you will be presented with depends on your latest verification answer to the Net Worth question. It also depends on your jurisdiction. The below diagrams illustrate this in more detail.

Non-US

US

*US investor can only sell on the secondary market 1 year after the investment

I don’t have $1m of assets. Can I use the platform?
As illustrated in the diagram you won’t be able to invest in shares using our primary and secondary market. If you hold shares and don’t upgrade to high net worth then new investments will remain restricted. We are applying with our regulator to service non-High Net Worth investors, but this is pending regulatory approval that we estimate should be available in 2022. If you are High Net Worth ($1M of assets excluding your primary residence) then certify your account and restrictions will be removed once you have been approved.

I would like to upgrade my certification to become Fully Certified – High Net Worth
If you already certified in the past by uploading your signed global investor template that we provided to you in BFID version1, then please contact support by sending us a ticket here and selecting the category “certification”.

We will prioritise your request to set-up your account as high net worth so you can recertify and be on the High Net Worth path to unlock restrictions placed upon your account and gain Tier 4 access.

What happens to my investments if I am no longer high net worth?
Your investments will remain in your account as usual, but you won’t be able to buy and sell shares on our primary or secondary market until we are open to non-high net worth investors estimated for 2022 pending regulatory approval.

I want to build a retirement plan with you and I was waiting for your retirement plan B portfolio builder, but I’m not high net worth. Can I still invest in it?
For now, the Retirement Plan B portfolio builder will only be available to high net worth investors that certify their accounts. You are welcome to join us on the online coaching program while spots are available or wait for us to open up to non-high net worth investors pending regulatory approval.

I have an error with my phone number
If you were already verified under BF Identity Version 1, you may experience the following error when re-verifying

To resolve this, delete one number and type it back in. It will refresh the field and solve the error.

The number field is now numbers only so do not use country code (+44), use the menu to select your country code

BF Withdrawal Services During Christmas Period 2020

CHRISTMAS HOURS: BF Withdrawal Services During Christmas Period 2020

Dear BF Members

We want to inform you of our service availability for withdrawal requests during the Christmas period 2020.

The last date for withdrawal request before Christmas and New Years break commence, shall be received by BF on – 21st December 2020, midnight (GMT).

Normal services for withdrawal request shall commence from 04th January 2021.

The Christmas period opening terms are set by our Merchant Service Providers and BF. Such restrictions are applied to enhance higher levels of due diligence and security in order to protect our members’ account against potential fraud and hack-attack during the Christmas period.

To prevent any delay in receiving your withdrawals, please AVOID leaving your withdrawal request too close to the last week or by the final date of 21st December 2020. Such last-minute withdrawal requests may result in heavy traffic. High levels of network traffic may cause major delays in receiving your withdrawal requests on time. Please also note that BF is required to conduct due diligence on all members ID documents and therefore, in the event you are required to upload your up-to-date ID, we kindly ask that you please allow enough time for our BF ID team to manage, update and process your ID documents accordingly.

For avoidance of doubt, in the event withdrawal requests reach heavy traffic, all such request shall be subject to a queuing system on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis by our merchant providers. Any pending withdrawal requests may be executed after the New Year – 04th January 2021.

*Last date for sending your withdrawals request to BF – 21st December 2020, by midnight (GMT).

*Withdrawal service shall commence as normal from 04th January 2021.
